There are just too many writing sites on the internet. It is a matter of searching the most credible and established writing sites for any online writer to work on. As you know, my blog is all about discovering income generating websites, something that I can share with my readers. Most of the websites that I have reviewed so far have been tried and tested by yours truly. However, there were also some sites that I have not tried yet. Now, this is where I need some honest opinions from my blog readers who can share a thing or two about a particular website. This is a great channel for us to brainstorm ideas, make suggestions, and even identify some scam sites. 

Anyway, talking about my topic for the day, I found out Work-Online.org.uk while searching the internet. Here are what I learned from the site:

What is Work-Online.org.uk?

Work-Online.org.uk is a UK based company.The site has its slogan, "You type, we pay". This is a writing site in which you can showcase your skill in writing stories.

Who can apply?

Anyone can apply as long as you are 10 years old and above. For under 18 y.o., you need to have your parent's permission to register on the site. This is actually a good chance for teenagers who dabble into writing and work at home moms who have ample time to write online. You just need to use your skills and imaginations, then put it into writing.

How to start writing on Work-Online.org.uk?

It is very simple, you sign up, choose your username and password, provide your email address and date of birth. Then, an email validation will be sent to you and you need to click the link. After that, you can log in, start writing and earn money. You need to browse your account page and choose a group from the list of stories available. There are no limits as to how many you can write. You just have to finish writing one story before proceeding to another story group. Now for the writing material, there are keywords provided and you should include these keywords in writing your story. Once you finished writing and are satisfied with your content, you can submit it and then it will be checked by a moderator. If your work is declined, it will be sent back to you and see the reason/s why your work is declined. Do not worry, you can make some necessary changes and resubmit your written story.

How much do I earn? 

You can earn from 5p to £1.50. You earn more money depending on the required words. So, if you have written around 400 words, you could earn around 75p. For 25 words, you could earn 5p.

What is the mode of payment?

As of now, they pay through PayPal or cheque. When your account balance reaches £10.00, the "Transfer Money" button will be visible. Click it and request for the transfer of your funds. Note, you will get everything that you earned. The company will not take any percentage from your earnings. It will take up around 14 days to process payments from the moment the company receive confirmation of your payment request. My verdict: 

I read both positive and negative feedback about this site. We can see on the site's homepage their top 5 earners. Let me just note that I have never tried this site so I cannot attest whether it is legitimate or not.  Remember, before you apply for any writing site, read for feedback first from other writers. Of course, never shell out any amount of money to apply for an online job.  Anyway, if you have any experience from this site, feel free to share it.

Ghostbloggers.net Review

A friend of mine informed me regarding Ghostbloggers.net. I am not really familiar about this site so I did a little investigation. I gathered some  interesting information for everyone who is aspiring to earn extra income online. Anyway, here is what I learned from this site:

What is Ghostbloggers.net?

Ghostbloggers.net is a site both for writers and clients. For writers, you can write excellent quality articles and sell them on the site. You earn considerable amount of income. For clients, you can purchase quality articles to boost out your blog sites. This would be beneficial for blog owners since you can always update your readers with fresh and good quality content articles. Not to mention, it saves you time to think on topics you want to write on your sites. Anyway, the articles are thoroughly checked for plagiarism. In addition, there are moderators that will ensure that the submitted articles are error free before they are approved to be sold on the site. Feedback will be given for low quality or denied articles.

Who can apply as a writer on Ghostbloggers.net?

Anyone can apply as long as you can write proper English. Articles in foreign languages are not available at this time. You can sign up readily and there is no need to take any test. You can start submitting your good quality articles anytime. Take note, it does not guarantee you that your articles will be purchased immediately by blog owners. It is the discretion of the buyers on what articles to buy that are fit for their blog sites.

How much can you earn from selling your articles?

Once your articles are approved, it will be added immediately on the system. Buyers will browse over the available articles and may choose to buy it. If you opt for the standard pricing model, you will earn US$3.50 per 100 words. Still, you can set a different price for your articles. Keep in mind that your article is only sold once to a single client. Once your article is sold, copyright is automatically transferred to the buyer. The minimum cash-out is set at US$25.

Does Ghostbloggers take a commission from your sold articles? 

Ghostbloggers fee is added on top of the selling price which is 30%. They do not take a cut from the writer's profit. 

My verdict:

Writing is quite a challenging task. There are even times that writers experience what you call a "writer's block". This is when you just do not know what topic to write about or simply nothing comes into mind. Aside from this predicament, writers are faced with the problem of using proper grammar and appropriate words for written articles. Sometimes, you may even be at a loss for words.

Well, you do not have to worry anymore. If you have heard about Wordweb English dictionary, then you are perfectly on the right track in your writing career. Wordweb is a software tool that can be downloaded for free. There are several versions that you can choose from. It only takes a few minutes to install. Wordweb comes in a platform. You can see Wordweb, Wikipedia, Wiktionary and Wordweb Online all integrated in one platform. As you can see from the picture below, the platform is pretty simple and and easy to use. You will learn more synonyms and antonyms for a certain word. In addition, you will learn what part of speech a certain word is. My experience with Wordweb is simply amazing! It is easy, fast and reliable to use. I do not have trouble whether I have internet connection or not since it can still work offline. This is a great tool for work and research. When using the internet, it does not slow down my computer's speed performance. I have been using this software for almost four years now. So far, I can say that it has greatly helped me in my writing stuffs and other tasks. Wordweb is a must for everyone. It is not just a simple online dictionary but a grammar helper and spell checker as well. It boasts of several great features that would make the life of every writer more convenient and even the readers.

What is iWriter.com?

iWrite.com is a writing site in which writers and clients meet up. As a client, this site is a reliable way for you to find writers that would write quality articles for your site. There are several freelance writers that can do the job quickly at an affordable rate. For aspiring writers, this is your chance to showcase your passion in writing. There are several written projects that you can work on at a different price rates. You have to submit good quality articles for you to increase your level and earn higher income. 

How to write articles and make money at i.Writer.com?

Anyone can register at iWriter.com and start earning money.  You can sign up for free and start writing articles for other people. There is no limit as to the number of articles you want to write in a day. The more you write articles, the more money you get to earn. 

Moving on,  once you activated your account, you can now start writing. You may choose topic(s) that you are good at. For every article that you choose to write, there is a corresponding time limit. Most of the times, you are given two to three hours to finish a certain task. Anyway, all these important details are further discussed on the tutorial video on the site. How much do writers earn? 

According to the site's information, writer's get 81% of the price of each article written and approved. The rest of the percentage is taken by PayPal for transaction fees and also by Copyscape for quality checks.  If you got a "special request" from a client, you receive an extra 5% earnings per article. Anyway, the mode of payment is through PayPal only. 

My verdict:

I have joined this site recently. I can say that the site is quite easy to follow. All you need to do is to look up on the  tutorial video. Everything is explained thoroughly. I have not started writing yet but I guess this site looks promising. I learned some feedback from other writers that the site really pays. One of the fastest growing trends today on the internet world is of course doing some home-based online jobs. Online writing is very common among those home-based online jobs. There are several online companies that offer article writing to aspiring writers. One of these several writing website companies is www.writearticlesgetpaid.com.

First of all, the website is quite easy to maneuver. You simply register, key in your chosen username, first name, last name, email address, PayPal account and then the password. Then you click, register and you are ready to go. You do not have to wait a confirmation message from your email. You can now log into the platform with your username name and password. Once you successfully logged in, you can start writing by hitting submit button on the topmost part or click Write A New Article part. You can choose different keywords. You have to write a minimum of 400 words per article. You need to use the given keyword in your written article. The keyword density should be around 2-6%. You have to be certain that you utilize the given keywords or else your articles will not be accepted for submission. Anyway, there is a counter that would notify you on the number of words that you have keyed in so far. Anyway, to make the story short, it is just so easy to use the platform. Even high school students can do it all alone.

My experience with this site is just satisfactory. I cannot say that it is good or bad, just in between. I joined this site through a friend of mine. I started writing articles just last July of this year. I wrote around 3 articles during the first week of my registration. Those articles were all approved and at the end of the week, I got my payment through my PayPal account. From then on, I continuously write on writearticlesgetpaid.com. During those times, I could write around 6-8 articles per day. They decline articles which have low keyword density, plagiarism or some grammar errors. I was given a second chance to revise those declined articles. If you could not pass the revision part, then your article would be deleted from your account permanently. Anyway, each article costs $1.25. I got prompt payments every week. The good thing is that they actually pay.

However, on the negative aspect, I experienced several flaws from the site. Sometimes, I could not access the site due to some technical glitches which is quite frustrating. There is no contact information on the site to report regarding some problems. In short, I was on my own. In addition, there were times that it would take two weeks or almost a month for my articles to get approved. The amount per articles is quite measly if you are an experienced writer. However, for a newbie, it is a good training ground for you. The writing is just freestyle. You need to research on the given keywords. Now, on this part, it is quite difficult to come up with a good and grammatically correct article. You have to make used of these keywords several times in your written articles. Here are some strange keywords that I encountered while writing on this site:

• Complete Blood Count Normal
• Meet People Online Free
• Short Children S Stories
• Halloween Punch Recipes Alcoholic

Those are just some of the keywords that are simply difficult to compose. I also heard some feedback from friends that they tried using multiple accounts since their previous accounts were not accessible anymore. All in all, the site is legitimate but then again, there are just too many technical problems which leave the writers frustrated. I suggest that the company should try to make some revisions in order to address the problems.

Update: (Dec. 17, 2011) - I checked my account on writearticlesgetpaid.com just this morning. I could not access the site anymore. There might be some technical problems again. It usually happens. Anyway, for almost three months of work on this site, I was able to earn around US$500. I cashed out my earnings through PayPal. 

Update: (January 10, 2012) - I checked the site and it is working fine now. It can readily be accessed. The problem is that there are no available articles to be written at this moment. If you are a writer on this site, just check it from time to time. You may be able to grab some keywords soon.


Latest Update: (August 03, 2012) - I stopped writing for this site. They keep declining or removing my articles without valid reasons. The payments are always delayed. So, I suggest you find better legitimate writing sites.
